Vaudreuil-Dorion Celebrates Halloween

This Halloween, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion invites residents to enjoy a fun and interactive outdoor adventure. From October 3 to November 3, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., residents are invited to visit parc-nature Harwood (3900, route Harwood) and discover an evolving outdoor trail using a free mobile app. On Saturday, October 31, participants will also be able to enjoy additional activities during their visit to the park.

“Halloween is a celebration that brings joy to children, while also bringing out the festive spirit in adults. The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion is pleased to offer an activity that allows the whole family to celebrate Halloween in an original, fun and interactive way. And what a pleasure it is to do so in the beautiful parc-nature Harwood, a green space cherished by our community. We invite young and old alike to come enjoy this experience and rediscover the park in a whole new light!” said Paul Dumoulin, Mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Guided by a mobile app, adventurers will make their way along the trail by solving a series of riddles. To participate, only one smartphone with an Internet connection is required per group. Simply download the free “Parcours Ludiques” app, available on the App Store or Google Play, and enter the access code VDD26.

The trail takes approximately one hour to complete and can be enjoyed in all weather conditions. In case of rain, however, participants are advised to bring an umbrella and waterproof boots. For evening visits, participants must bring a flashlight.

Special Halloween Activities

On Halloween, the trail will come to life from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m., with the presence of mysterious characters and a variety of activities. The Caravane Mozaïk will also offer a creative workshop, while a face-painting station will be set up for children. Candy and hot beverages will be offered free of charge.

Halloween Evening for Teens

Teenagers aged 12 to 17 will also be able to enjoy a Halloween evening designed especially for them. On Friday, October 30, from 6 to 9 p.m., a variety of activities will be offered at the municipal hub (2000, rue Émile-Bouchard), including a costume contest, a DJ and music, arcade and virtual reality games, karaoke, face painting and a photobooth. A horror movie rated 13+ will also be screened at 7 p.m. Candy, pastries and popcorn will be served throughout the evening.
