A rich and diverse fall cultural program in Vaudreuil-Dorion
The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion kicks off its fall cultural program this Friday, September 11, when storyteller Martin Nicolas Handfield will be performing at the Maison Félix-Leclerc (186 Chemin de l’Anse). Over the coming months, residents will be able to enjoy a wide range of free activities, from exploring various artistic disciplines to visual arts creation, exhibitions, musical performances, storytelling, theater, and literature.
A New Season at the Maison Félix-Leclerc
The Maison Félix-Leclerc will once again come alive on Friday evenings, from September 11 to November 28, with a series of cultural events presented at 7:30 p.m. Musical evenings, storytelling, theater, and literary cabaret will take place one after another in a warm and intimate atmosphere.
In addition to the Friday evening program, the Maison will be open for guided or self-guided tours on Fridays starting at 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All activities are free.
The Oasis Créative is moving to a new location for the fall
From September 21 to December 5, the Oasis Créative will be held in the Salle Quinchien at the municipal hub (2000 Rue Émile-Bouchard) on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesdays from
3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Oasis Créative offers a space conducive to creativity, where residents can experiment with different artistic techniques, exchange ideas, and give free rein to their imagination.
Artists Monica Brinkman, Isabelle Deprez, Annick Gauvreau, Nathalie Paquette, Marjorie Taillefer, and Stéphanie Viens will guide participants throughout the season. Supplies are always provided on site, and no reservation is required. The activity is free and open to everyone, but space is limited.
The Passeport culturel: An Introduction to the Arts
The fall program also includes the Passeport culturel, which allows residents aged 16 and older to explore various artistic disciplines through hands-on workshops. This season’s themes include: making jewelry from calabashes, creating a statuette, an introduction to crochet, acrylic painting, and creating a decorative artwork using foam and natural elements.
Registration begins on September 22 at 9 a.m. Activities are reserved for residents of Vaudreuil-Dorion, and space is limited. The workshops will take place this fall in the Salle Rivière-des-Outaouais at the municipal hub.

The literary walk will feature an exhibition on illuminated barrels displaying texts by authors from Vaudreuil-Soulanges who were invited to draw inspiration from the theme “Getting to the Heart of the Matter.” At the same time, the public was invited to write a few words on the same theme on colored ribbons hung on the trellis running along the library terrace. Finally, on September 25, 26, and 27, artists Natacha Marleau, Marie-Belle Ouellet, and Nathalyrmène Rousseau will exhibit the works created by participants in their cultural outreach workshops this summer—inspired by the work of Félix Leclerc—in the Caravane Mozaïk, which will be located at the Maison Félix-Leclerc for the occasion.
