The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion Acquires 170 Harwood Boulevard
The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion announces the acquisition of the building located at 170 Harwood Boulevard, formerly occupied by the Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges Service Centre. The property, identified as lot 5 331 682, will be acquired for $2,650,000, plus applicable taxes, in accordance with the purchase agreement between the City and Desjardins.
This acquisition is part of the City's efforts to expand the availability of space for community organizations, giving them access to quality facilities through lease agreements tailored to their needs. Located in the heart of the community, the building will provide an accessible and functional environment that will support the development of services for residents.
“The acquisition of this building represents an important step in supporting our community organizations and strengthening our community network. By providing them with accessible rental spaces adapted to their needs, we are taking concrete action to address the growing needs of our community,” said Mayor Paul Dumoulin.
“We are pleased that the City has acquired the building on Harwood Boulevard, which has been renovated. This facility will provide the organizations that move into the building with a safe environment in which to deliver their services to residents. This project reflects the commitment and collaboration of all the stakeholders who contributed to its completion. We are proud to return to the community a quality building that meets its current and future needs,” added François Paquin, Chair, Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
Over the coming months, the City will assess the renovations and modifications required to prepare the building to welcome organizations that may relocate there or develop new services for the community.
The City would also like to acknowledge the excellent collaboration of Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges throughout the process leading to this acquisition. Discussions were conducted in a spirit of mutual respect and professionalism, allowing both parties to reach an agreement that will benefit the community.
