Complete closure of Route 340 in Vaudreuil-Dorion from August 2 through the end of October
The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to inform the public that a new phase of work will require the full closure of a section of boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes (route 340), in both directions, at the intersection with rue Henry-Ford, in Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion. This closure is necessary to allow for the construction of a second roundabout.
Traffic impacts
From August 2 at 10 p.m. until the end of October
- Full closure of route 340 between boulevard de la Gare and rue Jean-Béliveau.
- Full closure of rue Henry-Ford between route 340 and rue White.
Access to residences and businesses will remain available.
Clearly marked detour routes will be in place using temporary signage.
The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable recommends that motorists travelling through the area allow extra travel time to reach their destination.
New roundabout partially open to traffic
The new roundabout located at the intersection of route 340 and boulevard de la Gare is now partially open to traffic. While several traffic movements are currently possible, additional movements will be introduced at a later stage. Motorists are therefore asked to pay close attention to the posted signage.As a reminder, when approaching a roundabout, drivers must slow down and yield to vehicles already circulating within the roundabout. If traffic is too heavy to merge safely, drivers must come to a complete stop before entering the roundabout.
The work may be postponed, extended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. Before travelling, road users are encouraged to consult Québec 511, a practical tool for planning trips, and to download the Québec 511 mobile app to receive notifications.
For the safety of both road users and workers, it is essential to obey all posted traffic signs.
