20 Years of Circus, Encounters and Boldness: The Tour de piste Exhibition Celebrates the Unique History of the Festival de cirque Vaudreuil-Dorion
From September 29 to November 15, 2026, the lobby of the municipal hub will host Tour de piste, a vibrant, immersive and profoundly human exhibition tracing the evolution of an event that has left its mark on generations.
“Above all, this exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate how far the Festival de cirque has come since its creation and the special place it has earned within the community,” said Mayor Paul Dumoulin.
Step Into the World of Circus
Costumes, trophies, European artifacts, video archives, memorable photographs, excerpts from Projet Grock, Têtes de cirque and La carte postale du festival, as well as moving testimonials collected during the 20th-anniversary video marathon: every element tells a story, and every piece brings back a memory.
A Refined, Contemporary Presentation
Conceived by Patrick Richard, curated by guest curator Chantal Séguin and enhanced by Philippe Corriveau’s graphic design, the exhibition features a thoughtfully designed journey that showcases artifacts loaned by Yannick Gosselin. It creates a lively dialogue between memory, art and emotion.
A Festival That Has Left Its Mark on Generations
From its bold beginnings and major musical evenings to Canada’s first international circus competition, the FCVD has grown alongside its community. Tour de piste invites visitors to relive these memorable moments, rediscover the ties forged with Monte Carlo, Paris and the Moulin Rouge, and experience the energy that shaped this one-of-a-kind event.
