Indoor pool

The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion operates the indoor pool at the Cité-des-Jeunes campus in conjunction with the Centre des services scolaires des Trois-Lacs. It offers free swim times and swimming lessons for both children and adults.

Free swim

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, government measures are restricting the number of people who can use the indoor pool. Therefore, reservations are mandatory and must be made online two days before the desired swimming period as early as 8:00 a.m. It is possible to book now for all the time slots of this period). Registration by phone is also possible for people without access to a computer (450 455-3371, option 4). Free swim is reserved for residents and only the citizen card is accepted as proof of residence.

Swimming lessons

Reactivation session – March 2021

Private or semi-private courses will be held for the month of March. The number of participants is 3 people from the same family bubble. Parents can take the course with their child if they have the required skills. The courses will be a review of the contents of the Red Cross Swimming program from Junior 5 to 10. As this is not a full session, there will be no level crossing.

Registration

Registrations will be held online via « Mon inscription ». It is important to create your account on the registration platform 48 hours before the opening of registrations, if you have not already done so. Registration by phone is also possible for people without access to a computer (450 455-3371, option 4). . 

Residents: starting March 9, 12:30 p.m.
For everyone: starting March 11, 8:30 a.m.

*Registration will close March 15 at 8:30 a.m.

Course Schedule

  • March 20 to 28 (2 classes)
  • Saturday or Sunday, between 9:00 am and 12:05 pm
  • Duration: 40 minutes

Required Criteria

  • Children: be at Junior level 5 to 10
  • Adults: Swimming styles
  • The person must be able to stay on the surface of the water for 45 seconds, swim the crawl for a distance of at least 15 metres, swim the back crawl with a kick for a distance of at least 15 metres, swim a distance of 25 metres (one length) continuously.

Costs

  • Residents: $20 / lesson ($40 for the 2 lessons)
  • Non-residents: $30 / lesson ($60 for the 2 lessons)

Premiers soins général

  • Registration: from January 18 12:30 p.m. (residents) and from January 20 8:30 a.m. (for all). Registration closes: January 25 at 8:30 a.m.
  • Prerequisite: 14 years old at the first course
  • Location: Centre Multisports, room # 3
  • Schedule: January 30 and 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (total of 16 hours)
  • Cost: $60*

* Additional fees: certification fee ($14), Canadian First Aid Manual ($24) and mandatory pocket mask ($18)

Sauveteur national

  • Registration: from January 18 12:30 p.m. (residents) and from January 20 8:30 a.m. (for all). Registration closes: January 25 at 8:30 a.m.
  • Prerequisites: Must be 15 years of age or older on the date of the certification exam, Bronze Cross, General First Aid (16 hours)
  • Schedule: February 4, 5, 6, 11, 18 and 25, March 4, 11, 18 and 25, April 1st and 8, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (except March 4 - schedule to be determined) 
  • Cost: $195*.

Cancellation and refund

For any changes or for a refund request, complete the refund or transfer request form (in French) and email it to the Recreation and Culture Department.

COVID-19 - Instructions to follow

  • Wearing a face cover is mandatory for persons 10 years of age and older inside the building at all times, except when swimming.
  • The locker rooms are mixed. Dryers are not available. No lockers available in the locker room.
  • Participants will be able to access the pool only at the scheduled time of their activity.
  • Consult the complete list of instructions (in French).

Informations

  • The swimming cap and shower are mandatory for all.
  • For safety reasons, children under 6 years of age and those carrying a floating device must be accompanied by a responsible person in the water.
