Indoor pool

The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion operates the indoor pool at the Cité-des-Jeunes campus in conjunction with the Centre des services scolaires des Trois-Lacs. It offers free swim times and swimming lessons for both children and adults.

COVID-19 - Instructions to follow

  • As of September 1st, the vaccination passport, including proof of identity (with photo for people aged 16 to 74), will be required to participate in aquatic activities organized by the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, in accordance with government directives. This measure applies to persons 13 years of age and older.

    Therefore, participants will have to present, on site, their proof of vaccination in electronic or paper format or via the VaxiCode application.

    If you are registered for an event but have not received your two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, you may be reimbursed if you request it before the event begins.
  • Wearing a face cover is mandatory for persons 5 years of age and older inside the building at all times, except when swimming or when the spectators are seated with distance in the mezzanine.
  • The locker rooms are mixed. Dryers, showers and saunas are not available. No lockers available in the locker room.

Free swim

No free swim at the indoor pool during the summer. Consult the outdoor pools' schedule.

Reservations

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, government measures are restricting the number of people who can use the indoor pool. Therefore, reservations are mandatory and must be made online two days before the desired swimming period as early as 9 a.m. Registration by phone is also possible for people without access to a computer (450 455-3371, option 4). Only residents can make reservations and only the citizen card is accepted as proof of residence.

Registration

Registrations will be held online via « Mon inscription ». It is important to create your account on the registration platform 48 hours before the opening of registrations, if you have not already done so. To create an account, as well as to register, residents must have a valid citizen card. Registration by phone is also possible for people without access to a computer (450 455-3371, option 4). .

Procedures for creating your account

Cancellation and refund

For any change or for a refund request, complete the refund or transfer request form (in French) and send it by email to the Recreation and Culture Department. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals unless a medical certificate or other supporting documentation is provided.

In the case of a cancellation by the City or a justified cancellation request, a credit will be issued to the account in proportion to the service not received. For refund requests by cheque:

  • If the request is sent prior to the start of the event, an administration fee of 10% or $10 (whichever is greater) will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
  • If the request is sent after the event has begun, the amount of services rendered must be added to the previous calculation on a pro-rata basis.

Red Cross Swim Preschool and Junior 1

  • Prerequisites : Minimum 13 years of age and Bronze Star certification.

The Bronze Medal certificate allows you to work as an assistant lifeguard starting at the age of 15. It is valid for 2 years, if used as a work permit, and valid for life to register for the Bronze Cross certificate

  • Prerequisites:  To hold the Bronze Medallion award and be 13 years old on the day of the exam

The holder of a Bronze Cross Award is entitled to work as an assistant-lifeguard in a pool (15 years and older) and on a beach (16 years and older). It is valid for 2 years if used as a work permit and has no expiration date if used to register to a Distinction or National Lifeguard award.

  • Prerequisites: Hold the Bronze Cross Certification, and first aid and be at least 15 years old on the day of the exam

The national lifeguard certificate allows you to work as a lifeguard from the age of 17. It is valid for a period of 2 years.

Informations

  • The swimming cap is mandatory for all.
  • For safety reasons, children under 6 years of age and those carrying a floating device must be accompanied by a responsible person in the water.
