CPKC Holiday Train Makes a Stop in Vaudreuil-Dorion
For the very first time, the CPKC Holiday Train will be making a stop in Vaudreuil-Dorion. It will stop at Vaudreuil Station (3101, boulevard de la Gare) on November 28, from 11:30 a.m. to noon, much to the delight of visitors of all ages!
Every year, the CPKC Holiday Train travels across the country to support organizations working to fight food insecurity. During its stop in Vaudreuil-Dorion on November 28, visitors will be able to enjoy a free 30-minute musical performance featuring pop-rock band American Authors and singer Tyler Shaw. The artists will perform right on board the train, which is decorated in festive holiday colours.
In the spirit of solidarity and generosity, residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or make a cash donation. All funds and food collected during the event will be donated to Centre d’action bénévole L’Actuel, an essential community organization that supports individuals and families in the region.
“We are delighted to welcome the CPKC Holiday Train to Vaudreuil-Dorion for the very first time. This community event will not only kick off the holiday season, but also showcase the generosity of our community toward those in need,” said Mayor Paul Dumoulin.
Families residing in Vaudreuil-Dorion can also extend the magic of Christmas by taking part in Courrier des lutins, which will take place on the same day. Children will have the opportunity to write their letters to Santa Claus in a magical holiday setting specially created at the municipal hub (2000, rue Émile-Bouchard). Further details will be announced soon.
Parking will be available at the municipal hub, the Centre multisports André-Chagnon and Vaudreuil Station.
