New cultural season at Maison Félix-Leclerc starting February 27
After a short winter break, the doors of Maison Félix-Leclerc will reopen to visitors on February 27. The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion will once again offer a diverse program of events every Friday evening and guided tours on Saturdays until the end of May.
Storyteller Franck Sylvestre will kick off the season with L’envol de Solibo in the intimate setting of
Félix’s living room on February 27 at 7:30 p.m. This performance, made possible thanks to financial
support from the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration, will also conclude
the activities presented as part of Black History Month. Over the weeks, artists Lucien Lavoie, Megane Lebel, Jean-François Janvier, Julie Massicotte, Martin Verreault, Céline Faucher, and Ancolie will take turns performing. Vaudreuil-Dorion artist Stéphan Daigle will return to host the popular Cabaret littéraire, during which he welcomes local French-speaking authors and artists to share their creations with the public. Félix Morrissette and Diane-Marie Racicot will round out the program with promising storytelling evenings.
Lyne Charlebois, Cheffe de division of Division de la culture et du développement social, is enthusiastic about the resumption of activities at Félix: "In 2025, the public responded enthusiastically and Félix’s salon enjoyed remarkable attendance. This enthusiasm confirms the importance of this cultural venue in our community. For the upcoming season, our team has prepared a varied and accessible program that we hope will retain our regular visitors while encouraging new visitors to come through the doors of the Maison and discover all it has to offer."
"The Maison Félix-Leclerc occupies a unique place in the cultural landscape of Vaudreuil-Dorion. The success of last year’s activities demonstrates the community’s attachment to this iconic venue. The City is proud to support a high-quality program, offered free of charge, that promotes access to culture and contributes to the vitality of our community," added Mayor Paul Dumoulin.
De châteaux en surprises, le carnaval de Venise!
Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 enrolled in the visual arts program at Cité-des-Jeunes high school will be exhibiting their work at Félix from April 30 to May 31. De châteaux en surprises, le carnaval de Venise is a nod to the world’s architectural heritage and the trip to Italy that the students will soon be taking.
Accompanied in this project by two local artists, Annick Gauvreau and Sonia Isabelle, they worked in both figurative and abstract styles, using graphite drawing and painting techniques to create magnificent Venetian masks.
Traitdartiste presents Gisèle Lapalme
The Traitdartiste organization is pleased to welcome artist Gisèle Lapalme to Maison Félix-Leclerc for a lecture and demonstration.
