Flooding | Update as of May 11, 2026

The Organisation municipale de sécurité civile met to assess how the situation is evolving in the area.

Based on the water levels observed over the past week and the forecast for the coming days, we are confident that water levels will continue to recede in our area.

The City will therefore begin, starting today, to gradually remove the various protective measures put in place in the most vulnerable areas.

Traffic Disruption

In addition, partial traffic restrictions are expected on Saint-Charles Avenue, near Lefebvre and Paul-Gérin Lajoie streets, this Wednesday, May 13, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., to allow for the removal of some of the protective barriers.

Residents Urged to Remain Vigilant

Although the situation is now considered stable, residents living near the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant.

As a precautionary measure, it is also recommended that you:

  • regularly check that the sump pump is working properly;
  • ensure that drains and protective systems are functional.

Access to lakeside parks

In addition, residents will need to be patient before they can visit certain lakeside parks located along the shores of Lake of Two Mountains. Cleaning and restoring these areas is expected to take longer than usual due to the impacts caused by the flooding.

The City thanks residents for their cooperation and vigilance throughout this monitoring period.
