Vaudreuil-Dorion Municipal Complex Wins Award of Excellence in Concrete Construction

The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion is proud to announce that its municipal hub has distinguished itself at the 7th edition of the Concrete Construction Awards of Excellence, winning top honors in the Low-Rise Buildings category. This distinction highlights the architectural quality, innovation, and technical performance of this project, which redefines the civic heart of the city.

Designed as a gathering place that brings together City Hall, the library, and a public square, the municipal hub stands out for its contemporary architecture, in which concrete plays a central role, both aesthetically and functionally.

“This award is a source of great pride for Vaudreuil-Dorion. It recognizes the collective vision that guided this project and the remarkable work accomplished by all those who contributed to it, both internally and externally. The City Council and all City employees fully share in this recognition, as the municipal hub reflects our shared commitment to providing residents with a sustainable, inspiring space that reflects who they are,” said Mayor Paul Dumoulin.

This recognition comes on top of other significant awards received recently. In particular, the municipal hub is among the finalists for the 2026 Municipal Merit Award, which highlights innovative and transformative initiatives by Quebec municipalities. The public can vote from March 14 to 31, and the winners will be announced on April 23 during a ceremony at the Agora of the Assemblée nationale.

The building is also a finalist for the 2026 Awards of Excellence in Architecture from the Ordre des architectes du Québec, in the People’s Choice Award category. Citizens are invited to explore the finalist projects and vote for their favorite through March 28. The winners will be announced on April 30.

Through these accolades, Vaudreuil-Dorion sees confirmation of the exemplary nature of a project that goes beyond mere administrative functions to become a true hub of community life
