An unforgettable summer at Vaudreuil-Dorion day camps!
Once again this year, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion is offering a wide variety of day camps to entertain children throughout the summer. New additions include the Young Engineers camp, the introduction of three sports (badminton, softball and pickleball), as well as new artistic disciplines. The full summer program is now available, and online registration will begin on April 8 at 6 p.m.
“At Vaudreuil-Dorion, we are proud of the diversity of our day camp programming. In addition to the regular camp and the Club Ados, the City offers the Franco-Fun, environment and Young Engineers camps, as well as 16 sports camps and 22 arts camps. The entire Animation Jeunesse team is enthusiastically preparing to welcome children from June 29 to August 14 for a summer filled with discovery, laughter and fun,” said Paul Dumoulin, Mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion.
A camp for every passion
A new themed camp will be introduced this summer for young engineering enthusiasts. Offered in collaboration with Young Engineers, this specialized camp will allow participants to explore the principles of mechanics, engineering and physics through stimulating activities. It will take place from July 13 to 17 and from July 20 to 24 at école Brind’Amour.
Thanks to a cultural development agreement with the ministère de la Culture et des Communications, the arts camps will give children the opportunity to discover and explore various forms of art while participating in creative projects. Throughout the summer, they will be able to try different artistic techniques such as singing, filmmaking, musical theatre, digital and video game creation, hip-hop and theatre, among others. In collaboration with the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, two new camps combining history and creativity will also be introduced: Mini-muséo and Studio musée.
For a fifth consecutive summer, Animation Jeunesse will offer its environment camp in collaboration with the Service du génie et de l’environnement of the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion. The camp will explore several themes, including Guardians of the Earth, Water: Source of Life, The Living Forest, Biodiversity in Action and Energy of the Future.
This summer, the sports camps will feature 16 different disciplines supervised by a team of qualified coaches. Young participants will have plenty to choose from with activities such as badminton, softball, baseball, basketball, circus arts, climbing, flag football, indoor hockey, karate, kin-ball, swimming, pickleball, soccer, sportmania, tennis and volleyball.
The Franco-Fun camp, intended for allophone children wishing to improve their French during the summer, will return from July 6 to 17. In addition, Gymini will once again offer its specializations in gymnastics, cheerleading and parkour.
Activities for teens
As part of the Club Ados, participants will take two bus outings per week (Uplå, La Ronde, Super Aqua Club, Clip ‘n Climb, Arbraska, District 1, etc.). Some weekly outings will also be offered à la carte for youth aged 12 to 15 who prefer occasional participation rather than attending camp every day. Special projects, themed workshops of their choice, bike rides and water activities will also be part of the schedule.
The Centre multisports André-Chagnon will also offer activities for teens during the summer, including a hockey and football conditioning camp, as well as fitness and boxe-fit classes.
The camp brochure can already be viewed online. Prior to registration on April 8, it is important to create an account on the online platform and to have a valid citizen card.
Please note that Animation Jeunesse camps are reserved for children aged 4 to 15 who live in Vaudreuil-Dorion and are currently attending school.
