The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion extends its ban on lawn watering until October 1
Due to continued high drinking water consumption, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion is extending the ban on lawn watering until October 1. This decision aims to prioritize responsible drinking water consumption, reduce pressure on the City’s infrastructure, and maintain resources available for fire protection in the area.
This ban does not apply to watering new lawns, for which a permit is required. Residents are invited to apply for a permit via the Online Services. Please note that the number of permits issued is limited and that only one hose may be used at a time for all grassy areas.
Watering flowers, vegetable gardens, and shrubs using a hand-held automatic shut-off spray gun, as well as adjusting the water level in swimming pools and spas, remains permitted.
The watering ban applies to all buildings served by the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion water system, including those located in the municipalities of Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac, L’Île-Cadieux, and Saint-Lazare.
