Planting work at parc-nature Harwood

Major planting work will begin shortly at Harwood Nature Park. This is part of a project to compensate for the loss of woodlands caused by the construction of the new Île-aux-Tourtes bridge by the Quebec Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

The area to be reforested at Harwood Nature Park covers 2.5 hectares. Some 2,500 trees, including both small trees in cells and trees ranging from 100 to 175 cm in height, and 1,000 shrubs will be planted in different sections of the park.

The work will take place from mid-September to early November. For safety reasons, the trails along the planting areas will not be open to users, except in the evenings and on Sundays.
