Organic waste: collection moves to Tuesdays in November
The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion wishes to inform residents that organic waste collection, currently carried out on Mondays, will take place on Tuesdays starting in November for all sectors within the municipality. This change had to be implemented due to the availability of the contractor responsible for this collection.
Please note that weekly collections will end on Tuesday, November 18. After that, brown bins will be collected every two weeks during the winter.
The list of materials accepted and refused in the brown bin can be found on the Collections and Schedules page of the website. It is also important to remember that plastic bags, whether biodegradable, compostable, or oxo-degradable, are not allowed, as they disrupt the material transformation process and contaminate the compost obtained.
Green waste collection
Although green waste is accepted in the brown bin, three special collections will take place this fall during the weeks of October 20, November 3, and November 17. It is important to place paper bags or bulk containers (e.g., in a large plastic bin, a trash can other than a wheeled bin, etc.) at the curb before 7 a.m. on Monday morning to ensure they are picked up during the week.
