Closure of a section of Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes from October 10 to 13
The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable informs the public that a section of Route 340 (Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes) will be closed from Friday, October 10, at 10 p.m. to Monday, October 13, at 5 a.m. This work is related to the construction project for the future Vaudreuil-Soulanges hospital.
Traffic disruptions and management:
- Complete closure of Route 340 (Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes) between Boulevard de la Gare and Rue Jean-Béliveau. The road will be excavated at Boulevard de la Gare and Rue Jean-Béliveau to allow pipes to be laid.
- Local traffic between Jean-Béliveau and Jeannotte streets. Access to residential neighborhoods, particularly Floralies and Les Joueurs de Hockey, will be possible via Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes.
- There will be no access to Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes from Rue Henry-Ford. Road users are invited to take Highway 30 to access Boulevard de la Gare.
- Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage.
In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, work may be postponed or extended. Therefore, before hitting the road, it is recommended that you consult Québec 511, a handy tool for planning your trips.

The Route 340 redevelopment project will be carried out in several phases between now and 2028:
- 2025–2026: redevelopment of two intersections on Route 340 (at the corner of Chemin de la Petite-Rivière and at the corner of the eastbound Highway 30 ramp), burying of utility lines along Route 340 between Henry-Ford Street and Highway 30, construction of two roundabouts (at Henry-Ford Street and Boulevard de la Gare) and development of a multi-purpose trail between Harwood Road and the entrance to the new Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital.
- 2027: Redevelopment of the intersection of Route 340 and Chemin Sainte-Angélique.
- 2028: Redevelopment of two intersections on Route 340, at the corner of Chemin Saint-Louis and at the corner of Montée Labossière.
- By 2028, Route 340 will be repaved between Chemin Sainte-Angélique and Henry-Ford Street.
