The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion invites residents to take part in the planting of the community orchard, a unifying project resulting from the 4th edition of the participatory budget. Proposed by citizen Éric Jean, this community orchard aims to promote biodiversity, and civic engagement.
Located at Lorne-Worsley Park, the orchard will include 25 fruit trees, 90 shrubs, and 200 herbaceous plants. The site will be maintained by the community, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
A first planting phase took place on October 4, 2025. A second phase is scheduled for May 14 at 6 p.m., during which approximately 20 fruit trees will be planted, including pawpaws, cherry trees, and peach trees.
- Light refreshments will be provided.
- Please bring gardening gloves, closed-toe shoes, and a water bottle.
- Register until May 14 at 4 p.m. at: environnement@ville.vaudreuil-dorion.qc.ca or at 450 455-3371
