Application for Permits

Are you undertaking renovations? Do you want to cut down a tree? For some types of permits, you can apply online.

As part of the regulatory review process, on September 22, 2025, the municipal council issued notices of motion announcing the adoption of new urban planning regulations on October 1.

When a notice of motion is given to adopt or amend a bylaw, no construction plans may be approved and no permits or certificates may be issued for work or use of a building that would be prohibited following the adoption of the bylaw in question. As standards may have changed since the last information received, it is important to check with the City to ensure that your work complies with the new requirements.

It is strongly suggested to apply for multiple permits electronically. Moreover, no permit is issued on site. When completing an online application, you will have access to by-laws relating to the permit. In addition, it is now possible to pay online by credit card.

Two options are available:

The online permit application platform has recently been updated. As a result, some technical problems may occur. If you are unable to complete your application online, please contact the Permits and Inspections Division by e-mail or at 450 455-3371.

For permits that cannot be applied for online, contact the Permits and Inspections Division before coming to City Hall: 450-455-3371 or infourbanisme@ville.vaudreuil-dorion.qc.ca. An appointment must be made to meet with the inspector handling your file.
