Music in the Gardens: Orchestre Symphonique des jeunes de Vaudreuil-Soulanges

Founded and directed by Dr. Judy Hung, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSJVS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the musical training of young instrumentalists. Its mission is to teach chamber and orchestral music, ranging from the Baroque repertoire to contemporary Quebec composers, and to promote classical music in the community. Since 2021, the OSJVS has presented more than 50 public concerts in the region, in various venues and historic churches, contributing to the dissemination of music, community engagement, and the creation of cultural ties. A varied program featuring French songs, opera excerpts, and songs by Félix Leclerc, performed by the OSJVS, the Valois Community Singers, and the children’s choir.
