Ngabo: how do bananas grow?
Ages 5 to 11
A young Quebecois boy of African descent chooses to do a school project on “growing bananas,” a secret his aunt has shared with him. The other students in his class think his project is crazy. However, with the help of his friend, Zieubrillan the cat, he succeeds. During this activity, children will touch and observe objects made from banana leaves that come from Africa. They will discover several types of bananas and even get to taste them! Yum yum! Parents are welcome! This activity is offered as part of Black History Month, with financial support from the ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration.
