Plaisirs d'hiver

Every Saturday from January 20 to February 17, citizens are invited to take advantage of winter by practicing outdoor sports activities at the parc de la Maison-Valois and at parc-nature Harwood.

In order to rethink the programming of Plaisirs d'hiver for the year 2025, the City would like to hear your opinion. Please respond to this brief survey.

Registration

  • For activities with registration, please present your citizen card.
  • Non-residents may participate in activities if places are available.

General Information

  • Schedule and activities are subject to change without notice due to weather conditions.
  • Hot beverages will be offered at each activity.

Saturday, January 27

Animated slide (disco night)

Location: parc de la Maison-Valois
Time : 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

No registration required

The ice oval is closed.

  • Strolling entertainment, music and games
  • Slide
  • Free hot drinks and snacks (bring your own reusable mug)
  • Caravane Mozaïk: creation of miniature disco balls
  • Fireplaces
  • Snowskate and tubing rentals (free for citizens)
  • On-site parking

Friday, February 2

DJ and snowskate evening (12-17 years old)

Location: parc de la Maison-Valois
Time: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

No registration required

  • Snowskate initiation and demonstration with Les Toasters
  • Free hot beverages, popcorn and S'mores
  • AJVD Sports Challenge
  • DJ Duffix
  • Animated slide
  • Fireplaces
  • Caravane Mozaïk: introduction to 3D pencils
  • Skate, snow scooter, snowskate and tubing rentals (free for citizens)

Saturday, February 3

Introduction to cross-country skiing with Ski de fond Québec

Location: parc-nature Harwood
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the activity starts.

Online registration required (maximum 25 participants per time slot):

  • 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (ages 4 to 6)
  • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (ages 7 to 9)
  • 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (ages 10 to 12)
  • 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. (ages 13 to 17)
  • 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (ages 18and over)

Equipment will be provided free of charge on site.

Walk-in will be possible depending on space availability.

Saturday, February 10

Torchlight walk

Location: parc-nature Harwood
Time: 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

No registration required

  • Free hot beverages
  • Fireplaces
  • Background music
  • Torchlight walking tour (last departure: 8:45 p.m.)
  • 2 and 3.5 km trails

Bring your flashlight (free headlamp rental available on site).

Carpooling to parc-nature Harwood is recommended.

Dogs are not allowed on the trail.

Saturday, February 17

Winter country day

Location: parc de la Maison-Valois
Time: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

No registration required

  • Country music and entertainment
  • Horse-drawn carriage ride
  • Free hot beverages (bring your own reusable mug)
  • Country dance lessons with Stardance
  • Caravane Mozaïk: cardboard cactus creation
  • Fireplaces
  • Animated games
  • Skate, snow scooter, snowskate and tubing rentals (free for citizens)
  • Maple taffy on snow

The parc de la Maison-Valois parking lot will be closed for the duration of the event.
