The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion and the blue collar union sign a new collective agreement
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion and the Syndicat manuel des travailleurs et travailleuses de la Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion (CSN) are happy to announce that they signed their collective agreement on February 1, 2019.
This new 7-year agreement covers the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2024. It provides for retroactive salary increases of 2.2% for 2018 and 2.4% for 2019 to 2024 inclusively, subject to the Consumer Price Index, to a maximum of 2.5%.
According to Isabelle Bureau, Director of the Human Resources Department, and Olivier Van Neste, Director of the Land Use and Development Department, the terms of the agreement focus on efficiency, stability of work teams, organizational flexibility, work-family balance, fairness and recognition of the contribution of blue collar workers with relation to the quality of services provided to citizens.
For the Mayor of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion Guy Pilon and City Manager Martin Houde, this agreement demonstrates compliance with the respect of orientations in terms of the quality of services and the recognition of the contribution of blue collar workers in this respect. “We would like to congratulate the management and union negotiation teams for the hard work and perseverance that ultimately led to achieving mutually beneficial goals,” stated Mr. Houde.
