The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is pleased to offer its citizens a distribution of compost, wood chips, grass seeds, shrubs and trees, which, once planted, will contribute to the greening and beautification of the city.

Distribution of shrubs, small trees and seeds

  • Reservations starting May 10, 9 a.m. (online or at 450-455-3371, option 1)
  • Maximum of two shrubs per residence
  • Location: municipal arena
  • Date and time: May 27, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. (by appointment)
  • Cost: $10/shrub (online payment when booking)

Choice of shrubs (limited quantities):

  • Aronie noire « Automn Magic » (Aronia melanocarpa « Automn Magiq »)
  • Cèdre « Degroots Spire » (Thuya occidentalis « Degroots Spire »)
  • Viorne commune « Mohican » (Viburnum « mohican »)
  • Rosier rustique (Rosa rugosa « Nicolas »)
  • Forsythie « Northen Gold » (Forsythia « Northen Gold »)
  • Cornouiller stolonifère (Cornus serica stolinefera)

Distribution of 300 small hardwoods and conifers

Self-service compost and wood chips

Vaudreuil-Dorion residents will be able to obtain free compost from their food waste collection and wood chips produced from public trees chipped by the Public Works Department.

  • Reservation of a time slot required (online or at 450-455-3371, option 1), starting May 10 at 9 a.m.

  • Dates and time: May 28, 29 and 30, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  • Location: Municipal Arena 

  • Second distribution location (compost): 5130 Harwood Road (at the intersection of Montée d'Alstonvale), May 29, between 8 a.m. and noon

  • Free 

In order to ensure that the event runs smoothly, citizens are asked to respect social distancing measures at all times. Wearing a mask will also be mandatory on site.
